Bethel is vitally interested in the young people of the Sechelt area. Our youth have weekly meetings for Grade 6-12, plus special events where they invite their friends to come and enjoy a time of fun & fellowship in a Christian environment in which the youth can become a vital part of the community.

News about our youth ministry is posted on our youth page (click button below to navigate there.) YOUTH  STARTS AGAIN on Monday, January 11, 2010 from 7:00pm - 8:30pm (see the youth page for more details)

ALPHA

ALPHA IS BACK AND STARTS WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16th!
ALPHA is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith. It is relaxed, low key, non-threatening, friendly and fun.  There are opportunities to get to know each other over dessert served part way through the evening and to discuss what faith is all about in small group settings. Listen, learn, discuss and discover, and ask anything. It is a place where no question is too simple or too hostile. Come and register on the first night (start time is 7:00pm and will end promptly at 9:00pm each Wednesday evening.)

Bible Studies

Our desire as a church is to see as many adults involved in studies that disciple throughout the week. Home study groups are held during the week at various times and at various homes with various topics posted weekly in the bulletin.

All studies serve a triple purpose:
  • to encourage personal spiritual growth
  • to promote closer friendships among the adults
  • to enjoy doing  1 & 2

Information about these studies can be obtained by contacting the church office.  (See "About Us" section for contact information.)

Prayer Groups

Men and Women who believe that it is God's desire that we pray for one another, the church and our leaders; and that God hears and answers our prayers. We meet every Thursday evening at a member's house at 7:00 p.m. On the final Sunday of every month we have an evening of corporate prayer at the Church. Any and all are welcome to join us (6:30pm start.)

Worship Team

Meet regularly each week on notified days to prepare the corporate musical worship time of the Sunday Service. If any members have vocal or musical abilities please contact the Worship coordinator.

Missions Group

(Formerly "women's missions group.")  Men and women that meet monthly (posted in bulletin - usually the first Thursday afternoon each month) to hear from different missionaries and news about missionaries we support.  This group also helps the church and missions awareness and support through their delicious luncheons and bake sales that raise monies for various missions around the world and here in Sechelt. New members are always welcome and encouraged to attend their meetings.  FIRST MEETING THIS FALL IS ON SEPTEMBER 3rd!

Bethel Choir

We are looking to start our choir once again!  Karen Edgar has agreed to lead the choir - please contact her (or the church office) if you are interested in joining.
