AWANA

"Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed"

This is an exciting program for children from Kindergarten through grade 5. Besides just having fun, young people learn the importance of being team members while they earn awards for their achievements as they learn the Word of God.

Bethel offers the following AWANA Clubs:
  • Sparks: Kindergarten to Grade 2
  • Truth & Training: Grade 3 - 6
Time: Every Thursday night from 6:00 - 8:00 September to March
Cost: Registration is $20 per child, plus 50 cents per week dues.
Registration and dues help cover the cost of supplies and awards.

Every club night consists of:
  • Games time: individual and team competition
  • Handbook time: they progress through graded handbooks working individually and together with their leader.
  • Counsel time: a group time for singing, awards, recognition of work accomplished and a Bible lesson.
AWANA Starts September 21, 2006 @ 6:00pm.
See you there!

Youth (Grade 6-7, 8-12)

Bethel is vitally interested in the young people of the Sechelt area. Our youth have weekly meetings for Grade 8-12, plus special events where they invite their friends to come and enjoy a time of fun & fellowship in a Christian environment in which the youth can become a vital part of the community.

New This Year: Students entering grade 6 and 7 will have their own youth group Thursday nights beginning September 21st.

Aiming to help young people become whole people, our activities exercise body, mind, and soul. Taking our place in Christ's church: we eat, play, learn, and serve our community together. All are welcome.

For more information contact Pastor Jeremy Keay at  youth_pastor@bethelsechelt.org

Preschool

a Biblically based preschool for  the 3 - 5 year olds of our community, located  kitty corner to the church. Each day the children will have circle time which includes Bible stories and songs, create various art projects, and have free play time, both indoor and outdoor. They also travel on several local field trips throughout the year.

Bible Studies

Our desire as a church is to see as many adults involved in studies that disciple throughout the week. Home study groups are held during the week at various times and at various homes with various topics posted weekly in the bulletin.

All studies serve a triple purpose:
  • to encourage personal spiritual growth
  • to promote closer friendships among the adults
  • to enjoy doing  1 & 2

Prayer Groups

Men and Women who believe that it is God's desire that we pray for one another, the church and our leaders; and that God hears and answers our prayers. We meet every Thursday evening at a member's house at 7:00 p.m. On the final Sunday of every month we have an evening of corporate prayer at the Church. Any and all are welcome to join us (6:30pm start.)
